Private investigative agency providing private and confidential services for Law firms, corporations and individuals. Specializing in investigations into wrongful death, accidental death and personal injury cases, as well as theft and fraud cases. Provide in-depth employee background research as well as surveillance and video/photographic documentation of suspected workers compensation claims. Notary Public allowing for sworn statements from victims and witnesses. Provide organized and detailed investigative reports and court testimony as needed. Conduct thorough background investigations as well as locating and interviewing witnesses. Formed corporation in 2007.

1982 to 2002 - Fort Lauderdale Police Department

2001 – 2002 Detective: Violent Crimes Division - Investigated all robbery offenses as well as aggravated assault/battery offenses with special attention on suspects using firearms. Special focus on apprehension of career criminals, violent offenders and convicted felons. Worked closely with federal agencies and sought federal prosecution for maximum penalties provided by law.

1999 – 2001 Detective: Economic Crimes Division - Investigated all fraud, theft, credit card and embezzlement crimes. Became division expert in credit card crimes and was assigned all reported cases. Worked closely with other jurisdictions and agencies as well as banks, finance companies and retail establishments domestically and internationally.

1988 – 1999 Detective: Homicide Division - Investigated suspicious and accidental, suicidal and homicidal deaths as well as officer involved shootings. Also investigated all missing persons where foul play was suspected, battery on law enforcement officers and kidnappings. During tenure as assigned case lead Detective, successfully solved and prosecuted 91 of 104 homicide cases. Designated unit expert regarding all scuba diving death and drowning investigations.

1987 - 1988 Detective: Burglary Division - Investigated residential, commercial and hotel/motel burglaries. Specializing in suspect identification, evidence recovery and criminal prosecution. Managed a caseload of approximately 60-80 cases monthly.

1984 – 1987 Field Training Officer - Educational in-service training to new officers and recent Police Academy graduates through hands-on patrol officer response.

1982 – 1984 Patrol Officer - Responsible for responding to all calls for service. Conducted preliminary investigations. Provided crime control for neighborhoods in both uniform, plain clothes and undercover capacity.

ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS:

1995 – 2002 Crisis Negotiations Unit: Responded to all SWAT call-outs, as well as other volatile situations in which individuals presented a danger to the community and/or themselves by threat or actions of extreme hostility. Attempted to de-escalate situations by establishing communication with the threatening individual. Became designated as “Senior Investigative Negotiator” in 1999.

1988 – 1992 Police Dive Team: Highly trained in the area of underwater search and recovery of evidence and victims. Certified as PADI Master Diver and numerous related certifications.

1984 – 1990 Instructor: Member of in-house training team providing department training in “High Speed Pursuit and Defensive Driving” instruction to all sworn officers. Also Assistant Instructor at Broward County Criminal Justice Institute providing training to police academy recruits in “Critical Patrol Tactics” and “Officer Safety Course”.
